Jiu-jitsu that feels like play, taught like a craft

10P Kids! lives inside the same school that raised a Quintet Champion and an ADCC veteran. Your child trains in a real 10th Planet environment, not a watered-down daycare with belts for showing up.

We teach creative no-gi movement, positional awareness, and the kind of problem-solving that makes kids confident on the mats and slightly more tolerable at the dinner table.

First class is free.

  • Coaches who actually want them there (even on the hyper days)
  • No-gi gear, so nothing extra to buy on day one
  • Same facility as the adult program
  • Serious technique without the intimidation factor (black belts, not boot camp)

Same mats. Same showers. Same chaos energy.

10P Kids! runs out of our brand new Salt Lake City home, the same space where the adult lunatics train every day.

  • Full shower facilities and two bathroom/changing rooms
  • Over 1,000 sq. ft. of mat space
  • Street parking is free all day and lot parking after 4pm M-F

Kid questions, answered.

What age can kids start?

Kids can start at age five. That's usually a great age for learning how to listen, move, focus, and begin building real jiu-jitsu skills one step at a time.

Does my child need experience?

Not at all. Most kids start with zero experience, and that's exactly what beginner classes are for. We'll help them learn the basics in a safe, structured, encouraging environment.

Will jiu-jitsu help my child with confidence?

Yes. Jiu-jitsu gives kids a place to do hard things, solve problems, and see their own progress. Confidence tends to show up naturally when a child realizes, “Hey, I can handle this.”

Is this just fighting?

No. Jiu-jitsu is a martial art built around control, technique, awareness, and respect. Kids learn how to move their bodies, stay calm under pressure, follow instructions, and work with training partners safely.

Will my child learn discipline?

Yes — but not in a scary, boot-camp way. Think focus, respect, patience, consistency, and learning how to keep trying even when something feels tricky. Tiny life lessons, disguised as rolling around on mats.

What should my child wear?

Comfortable athletic clothes without zippers, buttons, or anything sharp. A rash guard and shorts or leggings are great. Basically, something they can move in without accidentally becoming a Velcro trap.

Is it good for shy kids?

Very. Jiu-jitsu can be a great way for shy kids to build confidence at their own pace. They don't have to be the loudest kid in the room to grow, improve, and feel proud of themselves.

Is it good for high-energy kids?

Also yes. Jiu-jitsu gives kids a positive place to move, focus, learn, and burn energy with structure. It's a lot more productive than using the couch as a launchpad. Usually.

Will my child have fun?

That's the goal. They'll learn real skills, make friends, build confidence, and leave class feeling like they accomplished something. Which they did.

Do parents need to know jiu-jitsu?

Nope. You can relax and watch from the side. We'll handle the armbars, escapes, shrimping, and occasional mystery of why every kid suddenly wants to crawl like an alligator.
